A Tool for the Impact and Ethics of Technology: The Case of Interactive Screens in Public Spaces

Out now: Relating to Things, edited by Heather Wiltse. This book project began with a panel at the conference of the Society for Philosophy and Technology in Darmstadt in 2017 convened by Michel Puech and Heather Wiltse. The same group and a few more met in Umeå in Sweden for a workshop hosted by Wiltse in the spring of 2018. The result is a nice book with research on the intersection of philosophy of technology and design research about things in the digital era, interactive things.

My contribution is about the impact and ethics of interactive screens in public spaces, and I elaborate how the Product Impact Tool, while focussing on impact, also engenders and structures ethical deliberation.
